4.14.2008 Letter

hello family,
like always i don't have much time because today as a zone we are all going to cambodian new year, which i am way excited because this time i don't have to wear church clothes. um we went this week and i bought some cool stuff for you guys so i am excited. there are so many ppl- there more camobodians that i have seen in my life it is way fun, pretty much food and stuff to see i also am going to send some pics soon of it and some i have taken the last few weeks. so i have a few funny good stories, one was a few weeks ago that i forgot to tell you guys. we were at some cambodians house teaching them and after we taught them they asked us to eat. we said yes because we were hungry and it was free cambodian food. so then she gives us food and one of the things was a fried fish which we eat quite a bit and then she also gave u some soup. just on a side note in cambodian culture they use almost everything which isn't that bad because most of the time you just don't know what you are eating. but anyway she brought out this soup and we started eating it and there were a lot of foreign chicken parts in it which like i said is pretty normal. but as we started eating it there was one particular part that look kind of familar.. to make a long story short i ate my first set of chicken testicles (that i know of). mmmmm good!!! it wasn't to bad but that they were yellow and still connected to the bladder or something. i dont know if that is the worst thing i have eatin but that was fuuny.... i told my companion they were quail eggs (common food) to not gross him out but then i told him after he ate them haha it was funny. um also another funny story. um cambodin members are kind of crazy i cant wait for you guys to meet them all. but a funny story real quick. we have one member, an older guy who is pretty strong (endowments, active etc) and he is also way funny. but anyways we were in preisthood and we were learning about joseph smith and stuff and all of the sudden he raises his hands and tells us a story when he was visited by Jesus a few years ago. i will hve to tell you the whole story on mothers day but just imagine it. ha. anyways i am doing alright. the work right now is nothing at all. we have absolutely no investigators but we are hoping we will find someone this week. i hope all you guys are doing good. i will also talk to pres this the next few weeks about when i come home so i will let you know. um i had one more story about a cockroach but i dont have time. remind me to tell you on my birthday. hope all is well and i hope you understand my e-mail
love you guys,
jeffro
